2024 Recap & The Way Ahead: A Year of Impact and Progress
Highlights from 2024:
- Advocated for Expanded Benefits: We celebrated the expansion of presumptive conditions under the PACT Act to include constrictive bronchiolitis, male breast cancer, urethral cancer, and cancer of the paraurethral glands—a significant step toward ensuring no Veteran is left behind.
- Advanced Research: We debuted critical findings from our independent registry, further validating the long-term health impacts of toxic exposures and reinforcing the need for proper diagnosis, including biopsy-confirmed CB cases.
- Partnered with NVLSP: Collaborating with the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP), we’ve strengthened efforts to ensure Veterans receive the care and compensation they’ve earned.
- Engaged with Experts: We proudly attended the ATS International Conference, bringing the voices of Veterans to the forefront of discussions on respiratory health and toxic exposure research.
- Spread the Word: We attended the Marine Corps Marathon to inform veterans, service members, and the community about our mission and the benefits available to them.
- Launched a New Research Program: We announced the creation of The TSgt Amie Muller Veteran Health Research Program and Research Fund, dedicated to advancing studies that will directly benefit Veterans affected by toxic exposures.

Our Focus for 2025:
New research continues to link additional illnesses—such as autoimmune disorders and neurological conditions—to toxic exposure. We are pushing for these conditions to be recognized under the PACT Act so more Veterans get the care they need.
Veterans deserve proactive, not reactive, care. We are advocating for:
- Advanced lung and cancer screenings
- Biomarker testing for toxic exposure-related diseases
- Ongoing health monitoring programs to detect conditions earlier and save lives
Too many Veterans are still unaware of their PACT Act eligibility. This year, we will:
- Expand our nationwide education campaign
- Ensure VA staff training on toxic exposure-related illnesses
- Continue distributing the Military Toxic Exposure Guide to Veterans, families, and healthcare providers
The fight doesn’t end with passing laws—we must hold the system accountable. In 2025, we will:
- Push for faster, more efficient VA claims processing
- Advocate for more toxic exposure specialists within the VA
- Demand strict oversight to ensure Veterans receive the benefits they were promised
