Washington, D.C., November 14, 2024 — Burn Pits 360, a leading nonprofit dedicated to advocating for and empowering veterans affected by burn pit exposure and other toxic hazards, is honored to announce that Dr. David Shulkin, former United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs, has joined its advisory board. Dr. Shulkin’s extensive experience in veteran healthcare, coupled with his unwavering commitment to ensuring accessible and quality care for veterans, will further Burn Pits 360’s mission to educate, advocate, and empower.
Dr. Shulkin, a respected physician and public servant, served as the 9th Secretary of Veterans Affairs and has been a passionate voice for veterans’ health issues. Under his leadership, significant advancements were made to improve VA services, making healthcare more accessible and efficient for veterans across the nation. His dedication to addressing the long-lasting impacts of toxic exposures aligns closely with Burn Pits 360’s mission.

Dr. Shulkin expressed his commitment to Burn Pits 360’s Together, in 2020 they organized the Military Toxic Exposures Conference alongside Jon Stewart, John Feal and many others.
Dr. Shulkin joins a distinguished advisory board, including military and medical experts who are dedicated to creating meaningful change for veterans and their families. As a member of the advisory board, Dr. Shulkin will provide strategic guidance and support the organization’s ongoing efforts, including educational initiatives, legislative advocacy, and expanded access to specialized healthcare resources.
