Burn Pits 360 Proudly Supports Firewatch Documentary

At Burn Pits 360, our fight has always been bigger than any one organization. It is a fight for truth, for justice, and for every Veteran and family member affected by toxic exposure. Today, we’re proud to share a partnership that amplifies that mission in a powerful new way.

Burn Pits 360 is officially partnering with the three-part documentary Firewatch — a film that goes far beyond storytelling. It is a movement that captures lived experiences, historic advocacy, and the battle for recognition that so many Veterans have endured for years.

Why Firewatch Matters

Firewatch documents an extraordinary journey — one that many in our community know too well. It tells the story of the individuals and families who helped spark a national reckoning on toxic exposures, and the relentless fight that followed to ensure Veterans receive the care and benefits they earned.

This project doesn’t just highlight the issues. It elevates the people, the sacrifice, and the movement that stood watch for those who could no longer fight for themselves.

The National Campaign Has Launched

The Firewatch team relaunched their national fundraising campaign to secure critical finishing funds — including archival rights, music licensing, and post-production work — ahead of the film’s festival premiere and national rollout next spring.

This phase is essential to bringing the film to the world. And our supporters have the opportunity to play a direct role in making it happen.

How Your Support Creates a Double Impact

When you make a donation through the official GiveButter campaign at givebutter.com/standfirewatch between Nov. 11 and Dec. 2 and select Burn Pits 360 as your credited supporter, 10% of your contribution will be directed back to Burn Pits 360.

That means your gift accomplishes two vital goals:

  1. You help bring Firewatch to the finish line, ensuring these stories reach the national stage.

  2. You directly support the work of Burn Pits 360, allowing us to continue providing advocacy, case management, education, and research for Veterans and families facing toxic exposure–related illnesses.

And that’s not all — we are actively working to secure a major matching fund sponsorship. If finalized, every dollar you contribute during the campaign window could be matched, doubling your impact even further.

Want to Do Even More? Create a Fundraising Team.

Supporters will also have the opportunity to participate individually or form fundraising teams through GiveButter. Just like individual contributions, 10% of all funds your team raises can be directed back to Burn Pits 360 or another accredited nonprofit of your choosing.

It’s a powerful way to expand your contribution, rally your community, and fuel meaningful change.

Host a Special Screening of Firewatch

If you have the ability and the desire to engage your community in a deeper way, you can host a 20-minute preview screening of Firewatch. The film team provides all necessary materials and walks you through the simple hosting process.

Screenings are a powerful way to spark conversation, build awareness, and inspire collective support for Veterans whose stories have been overlooked for far too long.

This Is More Than a Film — It’s a Calling

The fight for Veteran health care and benefits has been long, painful, and overdue. Firewatch helps bring these stories into the national spotlight — amplifying the advocacy that began at the Torres Family kitchen table, in hospital rooms, and on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

Together, we can ensure this movement continues to grow. Together, we can honor those who stood watch and those who continue to stand in the gap for our nation’s heroes.

With gratitude,
